First Day of School

I know it has been forever.  Here is a photo from the first day of school (8/18) and now the first quarter is almost done.  I've been slacking.  Plus we got a new computer and it took a while for my pictures to be added, plus I had to learn how to use the thing.  It is a Mac, so it is a little different. Blah blah blah  I know.  I will try to be better now that I know what I am doing...well sort of.

Sparta Tournament

Brendan's team competed in their first big tournament. After two tough losses, they won the third game 4-2, in which, Brendan scored 3 goals. Eventhough they lost in the semi-finals, it was a great experience. Now onto the regular season. Soccer never stops.

Fenway Park

Ted and I went to Boston to see the Red Sox play the Yankees. Eventhough the Sox lost, we still had a great time.

CT Trip

As usual we took our July trip to Connecticut. We had a great time.

We took a quick trip to Massachusetts, went to the beach and hung out with family.

LAX

Trev's coach sent us some really neat pictures of Trevin playing lacrosse. He plays defense and loving every minute of it! Plus he gets to use a "D" pole, which is longer than the normal lacosse stick. Right now we have the summer off, but come fall, it is LAX season again. Keep up the great work Trevin!
He loves it!!!

Zoo Fun

We spent the day at Hogle Zoo. The kids had a great time. We saw the cat show, with a snow leopard, and the elephant show. The elephant show wasn't very interesting. It was just elephants eating tree branches...kinda boring! The kids favorite was the reptile area. That is the worst for me, not only is it way smelly, but the snakes and rodents freek me out! I could totally do without seeing the snakes and other creepy things.

Happy 9th Birthday Brendan!!!!

Brendan turned 9 on June 14. He had a great birthday...lots of gifts, ice cream cake. Check out his new bike!!

How can he be nine already??

The new family member...Max

Well, Ted and I are finally aunt and uncle and the boys finally have a cousin! Max Ryan was born on June 1 to Ted's brother Josh and his wife Brenda. Isn't he cute?!

Cruisin'- Day Four

Today, we're in the country of Belize for our final stop. We booked another beach excursion, but this one failed to meet the standard set by Cozumel, but still beautiful.
Ted and Brendan cruised around on a kayak, and the rest of us relaxed in the sun. Who knew that starfish could double as pasties?

Cruisin'-Day Three

In Cozumel, we decided to take a beach excursion to a place called Passion Island. After a shady bus ride through town and down a dirt road, we took a quick boat ride to the island. As you can see, it was pretty spectacular. There were roughly 50 people on the island and the white sand beach was endless. Not a lot of passion, but a great day trip for everyone!

Cruisin'- Day Two

Today we're in the FL Keys for a quick stop. Ted, Brian, and I decided to explore the town while my parents took the boys to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. After seeing dudes in tight bathing suits, Ted decided to purchase a "mankini" for the rest of the trip. He thought the red one in the photo would do the trick.
We also found some "art" in the center of town that made for some classic photos. The piece was called Day Dreaming, and it made perfect sense to Ted. He often dreams of being surrounded by 5 naked girls.
Next stop Cozumel.

Cruisin'- Day One

After spending Memorial Weekend in Fort Lauderdale, we met up with the CT crew (my parents and brother Brian) for a Western Caribbean cruise.
Before the ship could sail, everyone must attend a "muster" (in case the boat sinks). Our room attendant came to see if we needed a kid's jacket for Brendan, but after seeing him she pronounced that he was, "A Big 8" and would be fine in the adult jacket.
We were excited to have a suite with a balcony on the ship, and Ted was even more excited when we found the stripper pole at the end of the bed. Who said all those years of dance lessons wouldn't pay off!
Our cruise includes stops in the Florida Keys, Cozumel, and Belize so stay tuned.

Sports, Sports, and More Sports!!

We have been keeping busy with Brendan and Trevin's soccer, Trevin's lacrosse, Ted's soccer, and the Jazz. We have had a practice or game everyday and sometimes multiple things on the same day. It has been a busy spring. Good news though, soccer is done and lacrosse is almost. Ted's soccer is just starting and Jazz may be done soon too... we will see. All the madness is worth it. The 3 boys love it all! Me, I just try to keep all the schedules straight and get them to where they need to be.
